So, yes, like I said back in Feb., go see The Return. Only if you live in LA, I don't think it's playing anymore.
"(I hope we run into) Legolas! Orlando Bloom is so hot. Yeah, he's an Elf. (But) he saved Middle Earth and that is a huge part of European history."
Summer, on The OC, defending her desire to run into Legolas at a Hollywood party.

Intermission is a fun joyride to a great soundtrack (U2s "Out of Control," The Clash's "I Fought the Law," The Thrills...). Slightly shocking and raw in that Dublin-esque way, yet charming at the same time. Sorta like a roguishly attractive Irish boy, if you know what I mean.

I just had to check out the new show Century City partly because it's set in 2030, but mostly because it stars lovely Brit boy Ioan Gruffud (from the fabulous miniseries Horatio Hornblower and soon to be seen as Lancelot in this summer's King Arthur with Clive Owen of Croupier as the King). The story revolves around a Century City law firm dealing with futuristic ethical and legal issues such as frozen embryos, cloning, and the like. Interesting idea but the execution is rather blah and the dialogue very stilted and cliched. I'll give it another go next week though to see if it improves.

An Irish blessing for St. Patrick's Day (thanks, Tash!)
May the blessings of light be upon you,
Light without and light within.
And in all your comings and goings,
May you ever have a kindly greeting
From them you meet along the road.
May the blessings of light be upon you,
Light without and light within.
And in all your comings and goings,
May you ever have a kindly greeting
From them you meet along the road.

Apparently there's a sexy underwear revolution going on. I think it has something to do with the current political climate. So you can wear really hot knickers and be totally subversive at the same time. Viva la revolution!

Caught a press screening last night of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It was lovely. All about memories, first passion, breakups, and fate.

Watched Amores Perros on Monday night. Wow, it was....long. And disturbing. It definitely left an impression because I had some really horrific nightmares.

Daily Candy plugs Lucinda Rosenfeld's latest novel.
Nicole Kidman has allegedly signed on to play the White Witch in The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. She's perfect for the role. I can't help but wish that Peter Jackson was directing it, though. Like The Lord of the Rings, it will be filmed in New Zealand.

Love this translation of Dumas' lost French Revolution era romance The Knight of Maison Rouge. I'm so hoping it's a Masterpiece Theatre miniseries at some point.

Tasha hearts Van Hunt.
